Originally an IT systems engineer, I am a freelance science writer, journalist and broadcaster.

I'm author of Ten Journeys on a Fragile Planet, co-author of The Path to a Sustainable Civilisation and co-editor of Sustainability and the New Economics.

My weekly science column and other articles have been published in Fairfax and now Australian Community Media masthead papers for over 15 years.

I'm a science radio producer on 2xx and produced for ABC Radio National and appeared on air with Dr Karl on the ABC and the BBC.
